Kenneth Witt was a teacher, minister, missionary, and chaplain. His work showed him the need for a book about the Bible for adults learning to read. Then he retired. He took training to help adults improve their reading. He became a Literacy Specialist. He wrote "God's Plan, the Story of the Bible". This book has gone around the world and has been translated into Swahili, Vietnamese and Portuguese.
This book was started after his son, Kenneth Paul Witt, died. At age four, he had asked, "Daddy, why didn't Jesus stay dead?" This book is only part of the answer. In 2017, Kenneth Witt gave "God's Plan, the Story of the Bible" to Donna Daulton. She and Jack Emerson updated Kenneth's book and it became "God's Plan, A Walk through the Bible". They also created a teacher's manual and student activities to go along with the book. This website has some of the same activities and new ones as games. It also has read along videos to help students improve their reading fluency. This website is to help students improve their reading skills and understand God's Word better. |
